Group Courses
Below are descriptions of classes offered for large groups such as quilt guilds, or shows. In addition to the class fees, I can supply kits for a small fee.
For all classes, students must be comfortable with dropping their machine’s feed dogs and using a free-motion or darning foot.
All classes are done in raw edge applique and thread sketching.
Group classes are currently $700 per day and are generally limited to 20 students.
Half day classes are $500.
On Demand, Virtual or In Person
Here's the project I presented on The Quilt Show. It's now available on demand, virtually or in person! Learn several realism techniques including a transparent curtain and a reflection. You'll highlight and shade specific elements to make this image glow. You'll have such a great result, you'll amaze yourself!

Learn the unique technique of bobbin work, so you can stitch with those big beautiful, and difficult threads. They create gorgeous borders and embellishments. Then, make this adorable Bearded Collie with bobbin work! You will work in free motion and create great texture on this little guy. The finished Beardie is about 10" high and can be applied to any background. He's so cute and fun to make!

This class is also available as a one hour presentation
Students learn the basics of machine set-up and stitching, choosing fabrics, and using adhesives, threads, and stabilizers. We will work according to samples provided by the instructor to make realistic rocks, trees, grasses, flowers, water and more and assemble them into a handy reference booklet. Note, we will not make a picture, but will make the stitched elements that can be put into it.
• This class is truly a notebook sampler of machine stitching techniques.
• All levels - No kit, students bring stabilizer, thread, and fabric scraps.
• Full Day - All levels $700.
This class teaches you how to make trees like these.
Making Trees
Students learn the basics of machine set-up and stitching in free motion.
Samples are provided by Bonnie. We won't make a scene, but individual samples of the trees for reference in future pictures.
• All levels - No kit, students provide stabilizer, thread, and fabric scraps.
• Half Day $500.
Learn how to use simple perspective, art principles, fabric choices and stitches to make realistic landscapes. Bonnie prefers to provide a 'kit' with stabilizer and fabric choices for an additional fee. The fabrics provided are key choices for Bonnie's techniques. (However each student is free to choose their fabric arrangements and picture design.)

• Optional Kit fee $35.
