I am happy to have found out about a Sulky acrylic thread called Filaine! I used it to make a heron, a Santa's curly beard, and this Tuxedo Cat. I did my 'thing' with raw edge applique and used Filaine as a top thread and normal thread in the bobbin. It works best with at least a 90/14 needle. Then, the magic happened! Using their wire brush, the thread became fuzzy, and the images became much more lifelike. The fur feels so real. Note how it blends in the picture. Such fun!!
